On Tuesday, November 26,the first band concert of the school year was held. It was another display of the talent of our students. We saw many students perform solos, like Josu Egues in Jingle Bells, the second to last song in the Middle School concert. That was not the only solo, because there were others, such as the one performed by Misael Morales during Feliz Navidad or the one performed by Marcelo Pacheco on Louie Louie. These solos showed the audience that our school has talented students who can perform strong solos on their instruments. The students showed incredible enthusiasm and professionalism by performing all of the songs without any major errors, or at least not any that could be heard by the audience.
The concert was enjoyed by the spectators. Our English teacher was impressed; she added that she thought it was impressive the way that a small band could produce a big sound. She enjoyed the concert and she was only one of the many teachers who stayed late after school to attend. Because people were all impressed by the performances, many agreed that this was the best concert that we have done.
As a performer in the band, I agree that it was one the best, but I will not go so far as to say THE best, because there were other great concerts in the past. I must say that our first concert with a new teacher can often be the worst, but I think that we have the possibility of having our best concert ever with our new band teacher, Miss Katie Jubert.
