Just try to organize yourself. Write exactly everything that you want. Make a huge one! Look at your list and try to highlight the most important things.
According to Wikipedia, the most popular goals are:
You can use them to steer yourself in the right direction. Once you highlighted everything that isreally important, you should make new list for every BIG goal. For example, if you highlighted from your list (or from the wiki list maybe) make new friends, try to find“small goals” for achieving this one. Try to find a new hobby to meet more people, or start being more social, go to places in which you are interested in, or if you are an art person, do not be afraid to share your creations, even on Facebook! Using these little steps, you will go faster than if you would just think every time “Oh, I need more friends.” Also, when you try to find friends in places that are interesting for you, 100% fact the people there won’t be boring there for you.
Okay, you got your BIG list and small-steps lists for each of your resolution. What’s next?
Listen to your heart…
I mean, follow your LIST!
This is hard, I know, but following your dreams looks easier when you have a list. So, you have one. Great! Actually, we will only need a “small-step list,” the big one was only for orientation. Let’s use our examples with making friends for an artist:

This is the main goal for our life.
