The richest guy in Venezuela is called Diosdado Cabello; he is the National Assembly President in the Venezuelan government. There are many concerns about the way he obtained all his wealth. Drug traffic is the main accusation. Diosdado Cabello’s chief of security, Leamsy Salazar, is linked with the DEA. The United States government and the DEA, now protects Salazar. This last February 15, the DEA started an investigation on Diosdado Cabello.
Salazar accused Cabello of being the leader of, “El Cartel del Sol”, one of the biggest ones in Latin America. Due to this, Salazar escaped from the country because he felt “his family was no longer safe.” Salazar has all the tools and information to put Diosdado into jail. The only problem is that they never got Cabello dealing with the drugs. The only evidence they have is an airplane that was sends it to Cuba with tons of cocaine. The airplane was a PSUV one. Meaning that Venezuelan government has sent it.
Lastly Salazar has accused Cabello’s brother, Luis Alfonso Cabello, who is recently living in the United States. The DEA held Luis Alfonso for interrogation. This process took 7 hours according to DEA official, James Walker. That same day Luis Alfonso traveled and he is now staying in Venezuela, where he has the whole protection and backup of the Venezuelan government. This case is still in process, and we are going to hear about it soon.
