Meet the new 6th grade teacher!
Even though the first semester is coming to an end, we shouldn’t forget about one of the new teachers that is currently in our CIPLC community. I would like to introduce one particular teacher that didn’t get to be interviewed by the journalism class — Ms. Spadafora. Coming all the way from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. Spadafora is greatly thrilled to be part of the CIPLC family this year.
There is no doubt that by the end of the year, this teacher will surely have had a great time at CIPLC. When asked about about how she liked Venezuela so far, Ms. Spadafora replied that it was quite pleasant. “I like Venezuela because I find it beautiful. The people are very friendly,” she said. It seems that Ms. Spadafora is pretty much excited to live in Venezuela. Likewise, she commented similarly for CIPLC: “I find the students at CIPLC to be respectful and responsible.” She also said that she liked the school’s mission and as well as the community aspect of the school.
Ms. Spadafora’s first impressions of the CIPLC students were particularly described by one word: “chatty.” She noticed that her students are very garrulous and they talk a lot — “often while I’m teaching,” she said. Even though her first few impressions of her students were described as “talkative,” she also believes that “they are sweet, they are kind to each other, and they want to do well. “ Ms. Spadafora also has high expectations of her students. She said she would like to “feel really strong feel really strong about [her] ability to help [her] students to flourish and be prepared for next year.”She also realized that living in Venezuela with the challenges of life here has given her students a new perspective. She is highly impressed by her students’ abilities to learn how to find ways around and how to become flexible when living in Venezuela.
As an individual, Ms. Spadafora enjoys engaging in other activities outside of school. She enjoys singing, dancing and relaxing with her daughter. She also likes reading, exploring nature, and as well as traveling. Of course, Ms. Spadafora has come to the right place. With that being said, I’m more than happy to say welcome to Venezuela and the CIPLC family, Ms. Spadafora! We hope you’ve enjoyed the first few months at CIPLC as much as we have.
