We all have a talent, though some of us believe not. These can range from something as small and silly such as licking your own elbow, to something amazing such as playing 3 instruments or doing Archery. In celebration of our issue based entirely on talents, we searched for CIPLC’s hidden talent. Below are some of the talents our teachers and students have!
Laura Franco is a 6th grader, who seems to have several talents! Not only has she played the violin for 3 years now, but she also has several other cool things she can do. Like any girl her age, Laura can skate. But, she has proved to everyone, especially her family members, that can she multitask! She can drink water and even play on her iPad while skating! Additionally, Laura has the ability to talk in a very high baby voice, which sure comes in handy when she wants something! Cool stuff, Laura.

Next off is Laura’s sister, Mariana Franco, an 8th grader. Mariana explained that she can do something that not many people can do! She can tie a cherry stem into a knot using her tongue! She told us that she managed to learn to do so by practicing a lot.
Sol Rodriguez, a 3rd grader, also told the Tuqueque Express that she also has her talents. She might be young but she explained she has great social skills, which makes it easy for her to make friends. Additionally, she absolutely loves to play soccer, which is why she considers it a talent.
Another talented CIPLC student is 9th grader, Luis Marcosky Montoya. He has an amazing ability to write rhymes easily. The words just come to him, which is why he considers rapping and singing as his own personal talent.
Eighth grader, Mary Angel Olivares, has a very weird talent. “I can bend my arms and legs in ways that may seem painful to others,” she stated, and yet none of it is painful to her. Additionally, she also stated she can do another thing weird with her body, she can open doors using only her feet. Wow!
Chelsie Rinaldi, does not fall behind in our CIPLC talents. Besides playing the piano, she can put a notebook on her head and walk, go down the stairs and even run without letting it fall! Talk about posture! She sure must know how to present herself as a lady.
Now, CIPLC teachers also have their talents. Our music teacher, Ms. Katie, learned to play the flute when she was 10, the Saxophone at 11, and the French horn at 15. After that, she learned to play all the instruments you usually find in an orchestra at a beginning to intermediate level, but can play the flute and saxophone at a professional level. Nevertheless, her talent is more than that! Besides playing all those instruments, she can beatbox on the flute! She demonstrated this during our Solo and Ensemble concert by beatboxing to the Mario Theme. Amazing!

These are only some of the talents that CIPLC hides behind the uniforms and smiles we see every day walking through our hallways, but CIPLC students and staff have demonstrated that they have so much more to contribute to our small community. In conclusion, CIPLC does indeed have talent!
