oh no...that public display...
PDA: Public Displays of Affection, are one of those things that many people (including me) don’t know how to react to or handle when we are a witness to it. I mean, one cannot keep staring at the persons doing it since it looks creepy, but then you have the after- embarrassment of having seen them smooching like, “oh geez did they see me and did I come out as creepy for doing so?” Maybe they didn’t even notice which is probably better for you, but that feeling of unease still remains within, or more of shame for having looked in the first place. The worst part is that it happens even if you didn’t mean to see.
I am not saying ‘don’t do it’, it’s all pretty and whatever you want but it’s not something we are comfortable seeing is all, or at least not every day. I hate to be one of the people who say this but, make it a more private thing at least; take a bit of consideration for the people around you too. I mean, yes you can show your love, just elsewhere…in private…where you can’t embarrass others. It is beautiful that people find a person to care for and cherish, props to you people, and we’re happy for you, no doubt. I sound so negative with this—but that’s beside the point, what I’m trying bring up here is that…PDA is uncomfortable, period.
