WHERE AND HOW are we safest when traveling?
Safety is something we all worry about when we travel around the world. It’s either the sicknesses, crime or other factors. The question we often ask each other is, where are we the safest? There are two main factors to consider. Surprisingly, the methods of traveling tell us a lot about how safe we are when we travel. The second safety factor is the country you are going to and the data you are provided to know about whether it is secure or not. You have to know if you might want to avoid traveling to certain locations.
Let’s begin with the traveling methods. Some may say an airplane is safer than a car, or that an automobile is safer than a train. Who knows? It depends on the data. Looking at the research found, we found some data: Four deaths per billion miles have been encountered in cars. For trains, 0.2 deaths per billion miles. In the case of boats/ferries, 20 deaths per billion miles. Last but not least, 0.5 deaths per billion miles happened for airplanes. It’s safe to say it is better to go by train but it depends on where you live and where you use this service.
It is kind of obvious which are the safest countries you could be in. In the list of the most secure countries we find Canada, Singapore, Sweden, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. Many of us might desire to go to these countries in any times of our lives! You might want to use the train some time in your life to prove that it is the safest method of travel!
